Description

Tuff Top Coat – a water based, heavy duty sealant with a flat matte finish.

Robust with increased heat resistance.

It provides very hard wearing protective coating for kitchen cupboards, worktops, tables and wood floors.

It seals porous vertical surfaces such as concrete, unglazed tiles and brickwork.

Environmentally friendly composition, ISO 11998 Class 1 Wet Scrub rating, EN71-3 compliance and no added VOCs, it’s  perfect for children’s toys.

Use to seal Frenchic Original Artisan Range where a tough matte alternative to wax is desired or mix with metallic Frensheens to add pizazz to projects.

Suitable for internal and external use.

How to use Tuff Top Coat:

Make sure the painted item is fully dry.

Shake the bottle and pour some into a small receptacle.

Dip a clean, dry sponge into Tuff Top Coat and wipe off any excess. Apply a layer directly onto the painted surface using a even, smooth, brushing motion.

Wait 30 minutes for first coat to dry then apply a second coat.

Tuff Top Coat and Waxes can be used independently or together but if using together, apply Tuff Top Coat first.

For a bit of glitz and glamour mix Tuff Top Coat with one of the Frensheen mineral powders to create a metallic paint.

Frensheen mixed with TTC:

Decant some powder into a small receptacle. Choose from five different colours – Beautiful Bronze, Cool Copper, Gorgeous Gold, Green Goddess and Sexy Silver.

Add a small amount of Tuff Top Coat and stir well until there’s no powder left. Create a liquid, paint-like consistency.

Use a brush, paint the mixture onto the item for a shimmery finish.

Decoupage:

Excellent for decoupage. Add a paper image, like wrapping paper or a napkin.

Position the paper image onto the surface to make sure it fits. Remove excess layers from a decorated napkin, you just need the printed image.

Pour some Tuff Top Coat into a small receptacle, use a stiff sponge to apply. Use a good amount of product and press it into the paper quite firmly, so that it absorbs fully and sticks to the painted surface beneath. If you apply too much, dab off any excess with the dry side of the sponge. If your image is on thicker paper apply a layer of Tuff Top Coat to the surface of the furniture first.

Leave first coat, to dry, apply a second coat later to protect it. Don’t worry if at first the surface of the item looks a milky white colour, it dries fully transparent.
