Rustins – Quick Dry Heat Resistant Black Paint – 250ml & 500ml
A dense black matt paint based on water borne self cross-linking acrylic resin.
Intended Use:
For use on metal and wood for interior and exterior applications.
Not for use on wood burning stoves
Special Features – Heat resistant to 220°C.
Quick drying.
Excellent covering power.
Water based paint, so clean brushes with water.
Preparation:
Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free from wax, grease and contaminants.
Remove any flaking paint with Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper.
Remove rust with and then apply a Red Oxide Primer.
If applying to bare wood then apply a Primer and Undercoat.
Application – Stir before use. Apply liberally and evenly with synthetic fibre brush or roller.
Coats – 1 or 2 coats depending on requirements.
Drying Time – Touch dry within 30 minutes, depending upon temperature and humidity.
Re-coating Time – 2 hours minimum, depending upon temperature and humidity.
Application Temp. – Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Coverage – Approximately 12-14 Sq. m. per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.
Maintenance – Clean painted surfaces with a mild detergent solution.
Compatibility – May be applied over solvent and acrylic paint.
Settlement – STIR WELL BEFORE USE. Ensure any sediment is thoroughly mixed in.
Shelf-life/Storage – Many years if stored in original tightly closed container in normal conditions.
Do not store below 5°C. Protect from frost.
